4oz Salves Come With a 1" Round Brush!

Wise Owl has announced they will no longer allow us to ship 4-ounce furniture salves by themselves. The salve must be purchased with another Wise Owl product for the order to be processed and shipped. For ease, I am offering the 4oz salve with a 1" round salve brush. If you'd like to add a 4oz salve to your order without the brush, please email me at info@thecopperelm.com and I will happily create a custom order for you!

Perfect Application with a Wise Owl Salve Brush!

My favorite is the 2" palm brush, but the smaller ones are amazing as well and easy to handle.

What is it?

Some call it a miracle ointment, some call it wizardry, but everyone agrees, this stuff is incredible! Made from hemp seed oil, coconut oil, and a blend of waxes, this all-natural finish has a list of uses a mile long, without the use of solvents or fillers. The addition of essential oils gives the various scents an incredible aroma plus an added boost of natural benefits.

So, what's it for??

-Natural sealant for painted furniture (softer and easier to use than traditional wax, but with superior strength)

-Leather conditioner for cleaning, protecting, and adding a level of water resistance

-Remove oxidation from tarnished metal and hardware

-Neutralize odors (perfect for eliminating years of musky stench from inside dresser drawers!)

-Water resistance (provides protection against water rings and moisture)

-Hand, nail, and cuticle treatment

-Antiseptic, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic, and bactericidal properties to protect against mildew, mites, parasites, and pathogens.

-Insect repellent (takes the place of stinky moth balls)

How do you apply?

Use a Wise Owl brush or a lint-free cloth to work into the surface. For most surfaces, allow the salve to do its magic for 20 minutes and then gently buff it with a cloth. For super dry or porous surfaces, I like to leave the salve on overnight and then reapply if a second coat is needed.

But what do they smell like?

I sure wish we had scratch and sniff on the internet so you could experience these salves in all their delicious glory...but alas, you are stuck with words and hopefully I can come up with the right words to properly describe them. My descriptions are far from professional (although I’ve been told they are insanely accurate) so I’m also including the “official” descriptions as well. Do with them as you wish.

Lemon Verbena: Clean. Not clean like chemicals, but clean like clean USED to smell before all the chemicals took over. Clean like your grandma’s homemade solutions she used to scrub the countertops. This one is stronger than most but dissipates gently. (Lemongrass and floral verbena with a base of vanilla/musk. Hints of lavender, geranium rose, and musk)

White Tea: Smells like a hot guy who drives an Audi to work. He wears a tie every day but rolls his sleeves up. Your mom LOVES him. He’s kind and courteous and safe. This one is more mild and more delicate while still being masculine. (Bergamot, lavender, mandarin, with thyme, ginger, and lemon)

Tobacco Flower: White Tea’s even hotter friend. This friend is covered in tattoos and has an impressive beard. He rides a chopped Harley, and has dirt under his fingernails, but oh my is he fun. Your mama does not approve. Probably because she is wiser than you. This is my favorite for all things leather. (Black tea, ginger, bergamot, and cedarwood with spices, vetiver, and sandalwood)

Black Sea: Jason Momoa in Aqua Man. Salty, sweet, masculine, fun. Goes great on absolutely everything. (Plum and aromatic ozone with a base of vanilla and amber)

Foxtrot: Picture a Hallmark movie where the girl gets dumped by the Wall Street slickster, goes back to her hometown for the holidays, and falls for the understated guy working at the Christmas tree farm. This is him. It’s clean and fresh, and smells exactly like Christmas. (Cypress, vetiver, and bayberry with notes of moss, fir, and eucalyptus)

The Botanist: Oh...here...we...go. He’s strong and capable and powerful, but he doesn’t need to announce it to the world. He works outdoors all day, hands in the dirt, sun beaming down on his back. He’s the ultimate outdoorsman, fully capable of foraging an entire meal from his backyard, but just as comfortable at a five star restaurant. (Bergamot, grass, agave, aloe, with sage, oak moss, and patchouli)

Teakwood & Amber: Warm, soft, mild, and universally welcomed. Smells like fresh cut wood but in the least offensive way, with earthiness and comfort all mixed in one. I’d say this one is the most gentle of all the scents, the least “in your face”, just a beautiful scent that lingers in the background in all the right ways. (Ginger, peppercorn, vanilla, and spice with amber, Himalayan sea salt, and teakwood)

Cactus Blossom: Fresh and floral, but not your granny’s floral. This is young, hip, feminine, luxurious floral. This is walking into an incredible garden filled with deep purple and turquoise succulents, type of floral. Maybe it’s the plants, maybe it’s the cute cashier’s lingering soap, maybe it’s the impending rain storm, maybe it’s all of it. Apparently it contains patchouli, also known as the worst scent in the entire earth, but I can’t smell a bit of it. Perhaps the cashier has a manbun, but he’s not smellin like it. (Agave, aloe, white current, with green florals and a base of patchouli and jade)

Citrus Mint: Grapefruit and mint, muddled into the perfect mojito, just a dash of simple syrup for a hint of sweetness, a little sprig of thyme for garnish. Do you remember that cucumber melon lotion you used to obsess over in 8th grade? This is like it’s sophisticated, sexy, confident, adult self. (Grapefruit, rhubarb, mint, with rose, apple, and vanilla)

Riotous Rain: Floral flowery flowers in a field full of flowers. But it’s relatively mild. It’s soft and delicate and feminine. (Sage, lavender, grapefruit, and orange with a base of sandalwood and amber)

NEW!!!

Cozy + Currant:

A versatile scented holiday inspired furniture salve with wide appeal. This scent has an alluring balance of spicy and sweet, amber and moss. White currant and zesty lemon peel combine with airy ozone before giving way to a botanical heart of juniper and geranium. There is just a hint of peppermint in the base notes to reinforce the tart freshness of this inviting scent.
This salve is infused with natural essential oils, including lemongrass, fir needle, orange, geranium.
Note Profile:
Top: White Currant, Oakmoss, Amber
Middle: Geranium, Juniper, blood orange, teakwood.
Base: Black Currant, Peppermint, sandalwood, vanilla
