What is Wise Owl Chalk Synthesis Paint?

A highly pigmented, clay based mineral paint, perfect for revamping your outdated furniture. Thanks to its self leveling properties and incredible adhesion, it is perfect for most surfaces including wood, metal, glass, fabric, and more! Created by an environmental scientist, Wise Owl CSP is also one of the most non toxic and eco friendly furniture paints on the market.

How's the coverage and cure time?

One quart provides approximately 160 sq ft of coverage. Think a quart might be too much? Pints can be found here. (Need a gallon? Just send me a message and we'll get it done!) Dries to the touch in 1-4 hours, depending on humidity levels. Fully cured in 30 days.

Not sure where to start?

For most jobs, you'll need to clean well (and then clean again with fresh water to remove any cleaning residue) and then assess your surface. If it is slick, shiny, or non porous you may need to give it a quick scuff sand or begin with primer. Then apply 2 coats of paint (allowing to dry for 4-6 hours between coats). Be sure to apply with a good quality brush for the best results!! (For superior application, apply with a slightly dampened Cling On brush). Once your paint is fully dry, top coat for the best protection. Varnish can be used for the highest durability, Clear OHE for the quickest curing, or Furniture Salve for the easiest and softest finish.
