Jellyfish - Watercolor Postcard | Reconnect Club Artwork

Sometimes, the need for perfection hits even harder when the end goal is anything but perfection. This jellyfish painting was the project of a class that was teaching how to let loose, be whimsical, delicate, and follow artistic instincts. For me, that just led to panic and stress. I finished the class feeling deflated and incredibly disappointed in the painting lying in front of me. Instead of letting the feelings of frustration ruin the experience, I got out a piece of watercolor paper, put my notebook aside, and retook the entire class. This time, with a little more experience and far better-suited materials, the painting took form with less worry. The end result, honestly, wasn't much different than the first draft. But my view of it couldn't have been further. Gone was the criticism and defeat, leaving only a small sense of accomplishment. Sometimes, we need to accept that we just need the right tools and a little more practice. 

This 4x6 postcard is printed on premium matte cardstock and works beautifully for mailing, gifting, or displaying. The back has space for a message, address, and stamp.
