Sunset Lake - Watercolor Postcard | Reconnect Club Artwork

As I get further into this artistic journey, I'm finding myself evolving after each class project, more and more. Utilizing techniques instead of copying strokes. Understanding color theory instead of mimicking palettes. Creating pieces that are truly inspired by a lesson and no longer simply copied. This piece was created after a class teaching landscapes using reflections on a lake, however the class emphasized soft pinks and whimsical flowers. The painting I found myself diving into afterward was a far cry from the delicate Japanese inspired scene...but the tips, tricks, and lessons were utilized in every stroke. 

This 4x6 postcard is printed on premium matte cardstock and works beautifully for mailing, gifting, or displaying. The back has space for a message, address, and stamp.
