Vibrant Potted Cactus - Watercolor & Ink Postcard | Reconnect Club Artwork

Looking back on my art journey so far, there are a few key moments that stand out as a pivot in my evolution. This cactus was a huge one. This was a direct project from a Skillshare class that opened up something in my brain that was pivotal. Using watercolors in a loose, purposely imperfect manner takes away a huge part of the stress and pressure I was putting on myself. Adding ink outlines and details gave me a sense of control I can't seem to find with a brush. And the use of vibrant pinks, turquoises, and purples reminded me of a palette I used to LOVE when painting furniture. I tend to think of myself as an artist who gravitates toward blacks, grays, and darkness in general. But looking back at furniture I painted, some of my absolute favorites were bold pieces in this exact color palette. This class was a great reminder of that!

This 4x6 postcard is printed on premium matte cardstock and works beautifully for mailing, gifting, or displaying. The back has space for a message, address, and stamp.
